Roo Turns Two

My baby...my LAST baby is two! Where does the time go? Most of you know that Roo was our "surprise" blessing & ohhhhh what a blessing he is! He is a LOT like Reese was as a baby & for those who remembered her at this age....talking up a storm but no one knows what it's about....that's him. He is so stinking funny! He can give you some of the goofiest looks/smiles/etc. He is his daddy...A BIG OL' HAM! He loves to make everyone laugh. Hunter can really get him going. Some days our lunch takes about an hour b/c I can't get those two to stop goofing off. He is YUMMINESS!!!! He hasn't grown out of the snuggle stage yet & I pray he never does. He is FAT, squishy & just scrumptious! He loves to say "meh-meee" when he burps, "hi da-eee" when Jamie comes home & his latest is a siren noise anytime he sees a firetruck. He LOVES the moon. He can take any book in this house & if there is a moon in it he is going to find it & show you. He loves the song, "I see the moon and the moon sees me." We spent his birthday at Gramma's w/ everyone. Gramma made him his very own yellow moon cake. He LOVED it! Happy Birthday Roo Roo!!!!! OH...the best gift he got was snow...lots of it!!! How fun is that?

Reese Dance Class

Just a few shots of Reese at her "bal-la-lay"/tap class. She loves it! I know I am biased but I think she is actually pretty good. She is SO good at remembering the steps & even the names of the steps. You can tell in the pictures how hard she concentrates. I am very proud of her. I have to admit, I wasn't sure how well this would work. I was afraid she would just goof off...especially with one whole wall of mirrors. THAT'S A DREAM COME TRUE FOR HER!!! She really does a great job paying attention!

Hunter's 4th Birthday

He stole my heart the minute they put him in my arms & he still does today. March 6, 2006 I fell in love w/ another boy. Hunter Watts Maddock. He is as sweet as they come. He is HILARIOUS, charming (thx to the eye lashes), caring, compassionate, and ALL BOY! It takes a lot for this boy to be unhappy. He wakes up in a good mood every day....comes running into our room, crawls up in bed & says, "So...did you have a good sleep guys?" Even if we didn't...how do you not just love that? His heart is the size of Texas if not bigger. I love that about him BUT...it scares me a little too. He doesn't do anything halfway. Jamie asked him one day if he was going to go to school soon. He said, "No...I have to stay w/ Momma." He then asked if he would meet a girl & get married one day. Hunter just grinned, shook his head & pointed to me. :D He is going to be a heart breaker but the girl that picks this little boy will be swept off her feet. We started off his day w/ pancakes for bfast & a candle of course, a couple of presents & then we took him to the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field for his birthday. We saw all kinds of planes & helicopters, some space shuttle stuff & then played in the play area. I think everyone's favorite part though was when we were leaving & we got to watch a plane land & one take off. After naptime, we had a sandwich dinner (his choice), blue rectangles for cake, & more presents! WHAT A FUN DAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET CHEEKS!

Valentine's/Reese School Dance

We don't do much for Valentine's around here. To avoid the crowded evening, Jamie & I started the tradition right after we were married to pick up Olive Garden (1st date...on Valentines) & dine in. This has become one of my favorite traditions. Those who know me know that I decorate the house for just about ANY and EVERY holiday & most times my house looks like Cupid "puked" all over it! AND...if the weather is right (like this year) we can sit by the fire & eat! That's just what we did. NOW...please don't judge how we look...this was also the week that EVERYONE (except Jamie) in the house was sick. I think I was the worst. So...we don't look too pretty. Reese also got to go to her first "official" school dance. We all (minus Roo) went & had so much fun. Well, Hunter not so much. Too loud, too many people. :) Reese was so fun to watch. Miss Social, not afraid to dance in the middle of the floor, putting on a show...hmmmm...that reminds me of someone but I can't quite put my finger on who! :D
