Songs

The funniest things about Reese and singing her songs is she will ask you to sing with her or for her and once you are a few lines into it she'll touch your cheeks and say, "No Momma, No Momma...I do it...You not sing."

"Issy Sibby Spider craw up the water spout (with a long Southern drawl)
Down came the rain and wash de spider out (same as above)
Out came sun, dry up all de rain
Issy Bippy Spider craw up the water spout"

"The more we get togedder, togedder, togedder
The more we get togedder de happier we'll beeeee!" (sung at the top of her lungs...again with a drawl)

"Twinkle, Twinkle Lil Star
How wonder what yuu are.
Like a diemund (die-mund) in de skiey***
Twinkle, Twinkle Lil Star
How I wonder what yuu arrrr."
***I think she always says this verse because she loves the diamond shape

"Jesus love me dis I know
For de bible tell me sooo
Leetle ones to him beelong
They are week but he is stwong.
Yes, Jesus love me
De Bible tell me sooooo."

"Happy Birday to you
Happy Birday to you
Happy Birday for Reesey" (it's always to her and that's usually when the song ends because she gets so excited over the song and that it's her birthday!?!)

"You are my sun-shine (shine pronounced almost with two syllables)
My only sun-shine
You make me happeeeeee (very high note and totally off key)
When skies are gway
You never know deeeeer (same as above)
How much I wuv you
Please don't take sun-shine away."

"Baa Baa Black Sheep
Hab you any woooool?
Yeshur, Yeshur three bags foool.
One for my masser and one for mydayme (my dame=one word)
One for little boy live down de lane
Baa Baa Black Sheep
Hab you any woooool?"
Yeshur, Yeshur we doooo! (Momma's favorite line!)

Short version:
"Baa Baa Black Sheep
Hab you any woooool?
Yeshur, Yeshur we doooooo!"
She knows that this is our favorite version!

This is the day, This is the day
Dat the Lord has made, Dat the Lord has made
I will rejoice, I will rejoice (emphasis on 2nd syllable and drawn out)
*She usually ends the song here because we laugh at how she says that line

"Reese-isms"

EVERY Morning...
Momma: Morning Sunshine!
Reese: Momma, I not want breakfast...I just want "pocarts." (pop-tarts)

Naptime...
Momma: Wake up sleepy head!
Reese: Momma...I take a leetle nap. Right there! (pointing to the wet spot where she drooled.)

Woke up in the middle of the night...
Momma: What's wrong baby?
Reese: Momma, I snotty! See (sniffles) my nose snotty.

Bogey taking a nap in the kitchen floor and his nose is a little wet the week Reese had a cold...
Reese: Momma!!!! Bogey Bear snotty like me!

Anytime you say ouch or something similar...
Reese: Momma (or Daddy)...you, you, you got owey? It hurt? Me kiss it?

When Hunter wakes up crying...
Reese: Momma, Hunter crying again.

When we put our dress on in the morning...
Reese: Momma, I pretty! (she will also tell any stranger that she is pretty). Momma...Cinderella pretty like me.?.? (I am not sure if she is telling me this or asking me this.)

If we are out of something she likes to eat...
Reese: Momma, you got to go store and get pocarts (see above)? You got to go store to get "ogurt?" You got to go store and get "nanola bar?" (granola bar)

Time to get out of the pool or bathtub...
Momma or Daddy: Okay baby let's get out!
Reese: Time to get out???? My feet wrinky? I all wrinky? (feet are "wrinkly" like raisins)

Driving in the car...
Reese: Momma, turn the wind on! (Roll the window down)

Reese: Momma look..it's Lufiller (Lucifer the cat!)

Anytime she sees pictures of Sleeping Beauty...
Reese: Momma...is that Sleeping Booty?

Momma: What do you want for lunch today?
Reese: Umm...just a pnut butter samwerch!

Going to the doctor...
Momma: Are you ready to get your flu shot like Momma?

Hunter has two teeth!

Boy, have I caused trouble here lately. My two bottom teeth finally broke through and boy did they hurt! I was fussy for weeks. The only way I would sleep was if someone held me! Well, now I'm spoiled to being held while falling asleep! We had my six month check up this past week. I weighed in at 15 lbs. 14 oz. and I am a whopping 27 1/4 inches long! I've lost a little weight but no big deal. Momma says starting veggies and fruits this week should fatten me back up in no time! I'm sitting in my exersaucer and I LOVE IT! I love throwing all my toys into the floor and making really loud noises while trying my hardest to lean over and look at them until someone comes over and picks them up for me. It's a fun game...to me at least. I'm flipping from my belly to my back and although Momma and Daddy are proud of me they are also a little frustrated. You see, they'll put me to bed and within minutes of them walking out the door they'll hear noises coming from my room. Who knew that playing with my own two feet would be so much fun! Sometimes they have to hold my head down with one hand while patting my back with the other hand just to get me to settle down. They've tried many "wedging" tactics to keep me from moving and turning. Didn't work. Daddy almost had the bungee cords strapped to the bed but Momma talked him out of it! I started cereal. I didn't like it much at first but it's getting better. I prefer oatmeal just like my Daddy! Reese is still partial to pop-tarts right now. Speaking of Reese...she is on a Cinderella kick. She is either watching the movie, reading the book or reading the book WHILE watching the movie. She brushes her hair and sings like her, won’t wear anything but dresses (sometimes the same one for days), and carries her book everywhere. AND, Momma and Daddy took the front rail off her bed and turned it into a "daybed." She is quite the big girl now. She has stayed in bed every night! Hard to believe that it wasn't that long ago she was my size! (Momma's sad about that.) Reese is getting really good at counting, singing, and naming her colors and shapes. She counts to 11 (although sometimes leaves out 4, 5, 6) and sings all the time. She can also draw a circle by herself and says her ABC's.
