"Hunterisms"

I am sitting here watching Hunter down some Fruit Loops and being silly and I realized that I haven't posted some of his funny sayings like I did Reese. So...here are some "Hunterisms" if you will. Almost everything starts or ends with Momma and he always says it like he's asking. And of course most of the 1 syllable words are 2 and so on!

"Momma, kun I ha diet co peez?" (Can I have diet coke please?) followed by "You know I yike it?????"

"Momma, it morn tyme" (w/a drawl) (It's morning time.")

"Momma, I hoed jew." (I hold you)

"I yuh you." (I love you)

"Yook Momma." (look momma)

"Momma, I ha Krice Pippies peez?" (I have Rice Krispies please)

"Momma, I go see Gurpa ma-mario?" (I go see Grampa tomorrow)

"Momma, I see pire truck." (I see fire truck...not sure about this one.)

"I ha sum fruu froops peez." (I have some fruit loops please.)

"Coot over." (Scoot over.)

"Yook it!"

"How 'bout dat?" (How about that?)

"Huh Mister One Man Show?" (from Cars)

"Momma, I ready for 'brekstists.'" (breakfast)

"I love tatorrots cassrole." (Tator Tot Casserole)

"I need some chaspick!" (chapstick)

"I am i-norging you!" (ignoring)

"Momma come quick. It's a big mergency!" (emergency)

4th of Joo-ly and our Little Firecrackers

Well, in a nutshell, the 4th was hot, a little rainy and a lot humid. We started out by going to some friend's for a cookout (or cook-in since it was raining), our own little parade and then the hubbies and kids went to see fireworks. Then, we went to Whitesboro to do fireworks out there and the kids of course had a ball. I was really surprised how much Hunter was into it. I thought he'd be scared. He actually held ONE sparkler. We asked if he wanted to do another one and he said, "No...I all done." He then spent the rest of the night in Papa's "buggy." This is his favorite toy out there. It's a work vehicle that Papa uses to go back and forth on the 23 acre property. Hunter will ride in that as long as there is someone to drive it for him. :) Oh yeah, the glasses. For a couple of weeks Hunter was "obsessed" with the glasses that went to the Mister Potato Head. Anytime he went out to the backyard he had to "go get my gasses."

4 Months old

I just realized I hadn't put any pictures of Andrew at 4 months and I am sad to say...there aren't very many! What can I say...he is the 4th child. :0 July was busy. We went to Gramma and Grampas to pick potatoes and Reese found a HUGE caterpillar, Andrew started taking bottles and of course Reese is now in heaven, we went to the lake and Hunter couldn't dig enough and we stayed hot a lot. Of course we celebrated the 4th of July too. We also traveled to Oklahoma for a family reunion where Andrew was held the first time and the other two kept everyone in stitches. Reese started swimming on her own without floaties and Hunter is getting braver in the pool as well. We also got to enjoy corn on the cob from Grampa's garden. Reese and Hunter loved it. They thought it was the coolest thing. Go figure...it's messy!

Summer Days--3 Months old--3 Musketeers

Well, it's hot around here and it's even hotter when you are trying to run errands and you have to sit in the scorching sun while you buckle two kids in and then lean half way into the car to get the car seat in. Whew...lots of work. Needless to say, we aren't running many errands. :) I am sad to say that we haven't been to the pool as much as I'd like because it's a little too hard to watch all 3 by myself. So, if anyone reading this would like to spend an afternoon by the pool you know how to find me and I will gladly go with you if you help me from losing one of my children. Reese and Hunter still love their brother as much as they did when we brought him home. In fact, Hunter has passed on his snotty nose to Andrew...again! Andrew is growing bigger every day and still looking like Hunter to me. He is 13 pounds now. He is SO good. Nothing phases him. Even a two year old getting on top of him in the car seat to say hi and give him kisses. So cute. He'll say, "Momma...kiss Anjew? Cheek?" Cheek means hug. He is really starting to smile a lot and make lots of noises. Of course...none of that is on video yet. :o Reese is still the mother hen. She doesn't quite approve of anyone other than family holding him. We went to a friend's house (who has two boys) last weekend and she was very protective while she was holding him for about 10 minutes. She finally backed off and went to play after that. Reese and Hunter still have a love/hate relationship. Unfortunately, they don't love each other at the same time. He'll be ready to love when she isn't or the other way around. But when they do decide to hug and kiss like at bedtime. Oh my gosh...melt my heart! Reese gets smarter and smarter every day. She is writing her letters and yesterday we did some adding and subtracting. She just finished VBS and loved it. She is still singing songs. They were told to write a letter to someone one day in class and she chose to write hers to my mom's cat Max. Boy, that made me feel good. I thought it was funny though. Hunter just does his own thing and is very smart himself. He knows a lot of his shapes and tries the alphabet, counts to 10 and loves to sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." He watches and listens to Reese and soaks it up. His thing right now is, "Watch me Momma" and "I L-I-K-E it!" He loves to drink, "cha cha milk" (chocolate milk), still loves dig digs and tractors and "Big Ol' Tru-ucks." He still cracks us up. He loves nothing more than playing peek a boo or for Daddy to hide and then come around the corner and "ROAR" and scare him. He will do that all day long and just laugh and laugh! Come and swim with us! I'll even provide lunch!!!!!

Our trip to Kansas City.....

Well, we just got back from a L-O-N-G trip to Kansas City to see our new newphew/cousin Brayden Thomas! He's so little! Andrew is only 2 months old and he's huge up next to him. You forget really quickly how little they were. He's got a lot of black hair like his mom but I see some of Jamie's brother in him too. We had a short visit with Grandma Lefa and Grandpa Howard and played on their swing set for a litle while. The kids did really well. Andrew didn't get upset until like the last hour or so both ways. Reese and Hunter did well until the trip home. The first half wasn't too bad but they got very tired and antsy the last few hours. We went to Whitesboro first to take Jamie's mom home and to get Bogey and when we said to get in the car again I think both kids sighed as if to say, "Are you kidding?" But...overall the trip was good. Glad to be home though. Andrew had his two month appointment today and in my last update I think I said he was at least 10 pounds or so....HE'S AN OUNCE AWAY FROM 12 POUNDS! Wow! And he was 23 1/2 inches long. I think he's already bigger than Hunter was at his age. Andrew might end up being the real "big" brother. Either way...Reese is going to get beat up a lot! :) Not that she doesn't already. If Reese is doing something he doesn't like or sitting in a chair he wants, etc. he has figured out that by pulling her hair he can make her move really fast! :) It's hard not to laugh because most of the time she deserves it. We won't see the doctor again until 4 months. Thank goodness. We got 4 shots today and he wasn't very happy with that at all! PS---I threw in a pic of Andrew getting his first "kiss" from Big Brother Bogey!!!

2 Months Old!

Andrew will be 2 months tomorrow! I can't believe it. I think he is looking more like Hunter but...I might be alone in that. If you saw pictures of Hunter at this age I think you'd agree. He is growing to be quite the chunk. I don't have the measurements yet because we don't go to the dr. until next week. He's got some rolls and we've moved to size 2 diapers. He is really starting to smile and make some noises. He seems to smile the most when he hears you know who playing and giggling. He also smiles some when he hears them get into trouble. I think he might be the quiet one who sits in the corner and just laughs at everyone! :) He is still such a good baby. He is not like the other two in the fact that he takes a "nukie" as Hunter would call it. He doesn't suck his thumb. Each have their negatives...like waking up a lot to go put the "nukie" back in. I asked Jamie if we could make a strap to go around his ears like a surgical mask.

You can see that Reese is still enjoying being big sister bathing him and reading to him. She is a big helper in the car when he loses his "nukie" too. She is doing better with Hunter. They have their moments of really playing well together but...it doesn't last too long either on her part or his part. He is getting to be pretty rough with her. We told her that day was coming! We are headed to Kansas City this week to see our new nephew/cousin. This ought to be interesting.

ONE MONTH OLD!

Wow! Time goes by so fast...when you are chasing a 4 year old and 2 year old. :) And having fun! Andrew is a month old. He is finally getting some fat cheeks and filling out his skin. He still has a little darker color than the other two did so he might have his Grampa's skin color. We still think he has his own look. He looks like one of the other two at times or when he makes expressions but overall he just looks like himself. He is doing well. Growing and eating and sleeping well. We are hoping that our sleepless nights are coming to an end soon! Hunter slept at 6 weeks so we are crossing our fingers for that to happen again. He has adjusted well to the noise in the house, the holding and the "fondling"...even though it's not very gentle! Hunter is so good. He doesn't pay a ton of attention to him but when he does...boy he makes up for any lost time. Reese is such a mother. She does very well holding him and talking to him and shushing him. I am sure as soon as he starts taking a bottle she will be the one who is always feeding him. She's going to be a good mommy one day.

Reese's 4th Birthday!

Well, even though we just got out of the hospital we managed to pull off a pretty successful 4th "Little Mermaid" party for Reese. It's not quite what Momma wanted but she was happy and that's all that matters. We went to the park and had family and a few friends come over. Although it was very chilly, I think everyone had a "good time." It's hard to believe she is 4. She has grown so much and is SO smart. I don't know that preschool will be ready for her. (That really sounds conceited...sorry.) She still loves princess stuff as you can tell although Momma and Gramma have decided...NO MORE FROM NOW ON! It's really gone overboard and aside from reading, dressing up, singing and dancing Reese doesn't really play with toys. So...a lot of it goes to waste! I hate to say that because she has some fun toys but...she just doesn't have interest in them for long. These days she just wants whatever Hunter is doing! :)
