2 months old!

Well, I am two months old now and growing like crazy. I weigh 13 pounds and I am 25 inches long. Can you believe that? Momma and Dad say they think Reese was at least 4 months old before she was 13 pounds. I am still sleeping well at night. I found my thumb and I use that to help me fall asleep instead of a pacifier! Momma is very happy about that. I also sleep with my bottom sticking up in the air which is how she slept when she was little. I had my first Mother's Day. Momma had a fun time. We got her some scrapbooking stuff so she could work on our scrapbooks! We went to Whitesboro to hang out with Mema and Papa. The weekend before that we were in Van Alstyne with Gramma and Grampa Kirby! Gramma Kirby finally got a few moments to hold me. Reese usually doesn't let her hold me at all but thanks to Lou Lou...she was distracted! We had a great time at both places. Things are getting better at the house. We are almost done with boxes. Mom is just trying to decide where to put things and hang things, etc. She'll be glad when that's done. We are still getting used to being out here. Although, it doesn't take too long to get to McKinney, we have to remember to add a few minutes to our trip when we have to be somewhere. Take a look at how big I am getting! Come visit us!

Well, things have been crazy around the Maddock house. As if mom and dad weren’t busy enough with Reese and a newborn, they decided to put their house on the market and move into a new one. Mom has been so busy packing and unpacking boxes that I have barely seen her except for when she is feeding me! In fact, as you can tell in the pictures, there have even been times when she couldn’t feed me…Reese did!!! Truthfully, Reese has been bugging mom to feed me so she finally gave in a few times and let Reese give me a bottle. I get a little frustrated with her at times because she doesn’t always hold the bottle still and then I get milk on my face or she’ll get distracted by something and just drop the bottle altogether! We have moved to Melissa and although there is a ton left to do, we are trying to get settled and get back to “normal” (I am not sure what that is around here) as soon as we can. Bogey finally loves his backyard. He stayed close to the porch for the first couple of days because he was afraid mom and dad were going to leave him here. My room is right next to Reese’s room. That doesn’t mean much to me now but I am sure it will when we are old enough to get into some trouble! Mom and dad would love for you to come and visit and see the new house. They can’t promise that it will be clean and in order yet but…it will give them a break from all the unpacking and rearranging and organizing they are doing. Come see us soon!
